What does this pension compound interest calculator show?

It estimates how your pension pot could grow from your current age to retirement age using your current pension pot, regular contributions, optional lump sums, investment growth assumptions, fees and inflation.

What is the difference between flat investment and compounding?

The flat investment line shows your pension value if contributions simply build up without investment growth. The compound line shows the effect of investment growth being earned on both your contributions and previous growth.

How is pension tax relief handled?

If you choose personal contribution with 20% tax relief, the calculator adds basic-rate pension relief to the contribution. If you choose salary sacrifice, the calculator treats the pension contribution as paid from gross salary, so no additional 20% uplift is added in this projection.

Does this guarantee my pension value?

No. Pension investments can rise and fall. This calculator is a planning estimate only and does not account for every tax rule, pension annual allowance, employer matching, fund choice, market volatility or future legislation changes.
